Haggis gets an unfair bad rap. I had it once at a Burns Supper and quite enjoyed it. Also the mashed turnips. Malt, of course, is also a delightful accompaniment.
Unfortunately, my present parish, though offering a wealth of lovely West Indian and African cuisine, is unlikely to provide any opportunity for a Burns Supper any time soon. Though this does give me ideas... hmmm.
